Ms.Keerthana Shenoi, learned counsel for Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this writ petition even at the stage of admission. Hence, by consent expressed by both learned counsel, and in fact, at their request, this writ petition is disposed even at this stage.

2.The petitioner has made representations before the respondents commencing from 05.02.2020 onwards, the latest dated 27.12.2021 seeking waiver of penal interest in regard to certain demands that had been raised by TANGEDCO. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Since the appreciation of facts is necessary to consider the request of the petitioner, it is best left to the authorities to consider the representations and take a view after hearing the petitioner. Since Ms.Shenoi would agree that the representations have indeed been received by the authorities and are pending consideration, mandamus as sought for is issued to R2 to consider the representations as aforesaid, hear the petitioner and pass orders within a period of four (4) weeks from today, in accordance with law and all applicable rules and regulations in this regard. 4.This writ petition stands disposed as above.
