W.P.No.2538 of 2005 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the first respondent and as communicated by second respondent in his memo No.117349/625/G30/G301/2002-21 dated 4.12.2002/19.12.2002, quash the same and direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name in (Per) B.P.(Ch) No.271, Administrative Branch dated 4.12.2002 and to promote the petitioner as Stores Officer from the date when the petitioner's immediate junior was promoted to the post of Stores Officer with all attendant benefits.
W.P.No.2539 of 2005 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the first respondent and as communicated by second respondent in his memo No.106025/525/G30/G301/2000-16 dated 29.09.2001, quash the same and direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name either in routine B.P.(Ch No.3) Administrative Branch dated 6.11.1999 or in Permanent B.P.(Ch) No.200 Administrative Branch dated 29.09.2001 and direct the respondents to promote the petitioner from the date when the petitioner's immediate junior was promoted to the post of Stores Officer with all attendant benefits.

ORDER
These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the respective impugned orders passed by the respondents with a consequential direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Stores Officer from the date when the petitioner's immediate junior was promoted with all attendant benefits.
2. When the matters were taken up, noting the fact that the petitioner had already reached the age of superannuation, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that he is not pressing the prayer.
3. Recording his statement, these writ petitions are dismissed as not pressed. Consequently, W.P.M.P.No.2828 of 2005 is also dismissed. No costs.
