O R D E R

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitionerhusband seeking to direct the 1st respondent-Police to produce the detenue-wife, by name M.Vinodha, aged about 24 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. When the matter was taken up today, the so-called detenue by name, M.Vinodha, aged about 24 years, along with her parents, was produced before the Court, by the 1st respondent-Police. The petitioner, as well as his counsel, were also present before the Court. The so-called detenue, when personally enquired by us, denied https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the voluntary nature of the marriage between the petitioner and herself and she has also expressed her willingness to continue to live with her parents, who are residing at Thanjavur.

3. In view of the above categorical statement made by the socalled detenue, no further orders are necessary, except permitting the detenue to go along with her parents. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, it goes without saying that the petitioner-husband may work out his remedy, if any, before the appropriate forum, in the manner known to law.
