ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to issue joint patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of their property comprised in S.No.518 situated at Puthupalayam Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur District by considering their representation dated 10.11.2022.

In respect of the property at S.No.518 situated at Puthupalayam Village, Aviashi Taluk, Tiruppur District, it is a claim of the petitioners that it has been jointly settled in favour of the petitioners, who are none other than the first cousins. Therefore, in order to get joint patta in respect of the property in question to and in favour of the petitioners, they had given an application to the third respondent Tahsildar on 10.11.2022 and to consider the said application to pass orders on merits within a time frame, the petitioners have moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.K.Myilsamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

would submit that the said application submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the third respondent and necessary orders to that effect on merits would be passed by him within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Having regard to the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order: That there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioners dated 10.11.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
