ORDER

This petition is filed to extend the time for complying with the condition of depositing 20 % of the cheque amount imposed by the learned XXII Additional Judge, XXII Additional City Civil Court at Allikulam, Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2025 in C.A.No.1470 of 2025 vide order dated 15.12.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the appellate Court, while suspending the sentence, in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2025 in C.A.No.1470 of 2025 vide order dated 15.12.2025, had granted 30 days' time from 15.12.2025 to deposit 20% of the compensation amount awarded in S.T.C.No.10363 of 2025 before the trial court. He would further submit that due to Pongal holidays and financial constraint, the petitioner was unable to arrange funds and make the deposit before the Trial Court, within the stipulated time. Therefore, this petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid prayer. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to deposit the amount, within a period of one week.

3. Taking into consideration the submission made, the time granted in Crl.M.P.No.1 of 2025 in C.A.No.1470 of 2025 vide order dated 15.12.2025 stands extended by one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that no further extension will be granted.
