Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2017 within a stipulated time and in accordance with law.

2. Heard both sides.

According to the petitioner, the lands measuring 14.90 acres in S.F.No.834/2 situate at Akkondapalli Village, Dhenkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District ancestrally belonged to his grand father Periyapalayan alias Venkatappa, which was granted by the Government of Tamilnadu bearing Patta No.518 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the same was in joint possession without any partition. Further, it is stated that during UDR Scheme, the said lands were sub divided and pattas were erroneously issued in the names of the private respondents herein. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 27.05.2017 to rectify the mistake occurred during the UDR scheme.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation dated 27.05.2017, seeking to remove the name of the unauthorised persons, has not been considered by the first respondent so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
