PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's office at New No. 11, Old No.2, Eldams Road, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 018 and to Petitioner's residence at No.136, Arcot Road, Block 3, Flat 9E, Ceebros Shymala Garden, Saligramam, Chennai - 600 093. This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, during pendency of this petition the second respondent has registered an FIR in Crime No.73 of 2020 under Sections 143, 294(b), 448 and 506 (i) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of IPC against 25 unidentified persons. He further submitted that thereafter the members of the Distributors Association approached the Tamil Nadu Film Director's Association and gave assurance that they will not trouble the petitioner. Accordingly the petitioner has sent a letter on 11.02.2020 requesting the second respondent not to pursue further with the complaint.

3. Considering the abovesaid submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. It is open to the second respondent to dispose of the FIR in Crime No.73 of 2020 in pursuance of the petitioner's letter dated 11.02.2020.
