The writ petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to allow the petitioner to work as Pump Operator in the second respondent's Karanai Panchayat, Tirukoilur Taluk, Villupuarm District with continuity of service, backwages and all other consequential benefits.

It is seen that now the petitioner is aged about 62 years and therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. 3.

Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
