O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal in Na.Ka.Aa3/27834/2010 dated 02.08.2010 within a time frame.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner appeared before the 2nd respondent for personal hearing as early as in the year 2015 itself, the 2nd respondent has not disposed of the appeal filed by him on 02.08.2010 so far.

3.Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal within a time frame.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 02.08.2010 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
