Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the I Additional Labour Court, Chennai - 104, the first respondent in I.D.No. 163 of 2000 dated 24.01.2011 in so far as the said award denies full back wages and other attendant benefits and to quash the same.

ORDER

In this matter, the original counsel who have filed the writ petition was not appearing. While so, on the hearing dated 17.10.2019, the present counsel namely Mr.M.Sathivel had given an undertaking that he will be filing change of Vakalat. Thereafter, the matter had come up on several occasions, till date the vakalat has not been filed. There is no representation by the said counsel also.

2. Under the circumstances, on several occasions, both the names of the petitioner as well as the counsel was printed. On various hearings, the fact that there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner is recorded.

3. On 07.11.2024, this Court therefore directed to list the matter under the

caption 'for dismissal'. Today also, names of both the petitioner Mr.M.K.Mohanraj as well as the counsel Mr.M.Sathivel is printed. However, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner or his counsel.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 18.11.2024 : Yes/No nsl To 1.
