O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to call for the records of the undated website communication of the 2nd Respondent and quash the same and direct the Respondents to appoint the petitioner as Graduate Assistant Teacher, in any one of the High School under the control of the 1st Respondent.

2.It is the claim of the petitioner that petitioner obtained B.Ed. (Special Education). B.Ed (Special Education) and B.Ed (General Education) are more or less one and the same. Therefore, she has to be considered for appointment as Graduate Assistant Teacher. 3.Learned counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that as per G.O.Ms.No.56, Higher Education (K2) Department, Government declared that B.Ed (General Education) and B.Ed (Special Education) are equal degrees. However, it is further submitted that petitioner obtained B.Ed (Special Education) from Indira Gandhi College of Special Education in the year 2005-06. Indira Gandhi College of Special Education was recognised as approved institution only from 2006-07 academic year. Therefore, B.Ed

(Special Education) obtained by petitioner in 2005-06 from Indira Gandhi College of Special Education is not a valid degree and therefore, on that basis, petitioner cannot claim the post of Graduate Assistant Teacher.

In view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent that, petitioner's B.Ed ( Special Education) had been obtained from Indira Gandhi College of Special Education in the year 2005-06, when it was not recognized, this Court is of the view that, petitioner cannot seek his appointment as Graduate Assistant Teacher on the claim that he obtained B.Ed ( Special Education) from Indira Gandhi College of Special Education in the year 2005-06.
