(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the respondents 3 and 4.

2.This petition has been filed by the petitioner/husband of the detenue Sangeetha, W/o.Venugopal, aged 18 years, directing the respondents to cause production of his wife/the detenue before this Court and to set her at liberty.

3.The detenue Sangeetha is secured and produced before this Court by the respondent police. On enquiry, the detenue stated that she is a major and that she is willing to go along with her maternal aunt Mrs.Parimala, Wife of Anbarasan, who is residing at No.223, 7th Street, Gandhi Nagar, Pulianthope (Cell No.9840495730), who is also present in Court today. The said statement of the detenue is recorded.

4.Considering the fact that the detenue is major and also she is willing to to along with her maternal aunt and that there is no illegal detention as per her statement, we are of the view that this petition could be closed as nothing further remains to be considered. Accordingly, this petition is closed. It is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum seeking remedy, in accordance with law.
