Respondents Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the first respondent herein in G.O.Ms.No.37, Co-operation, Food & Consumer Protection Department, dated 10.03.2005 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to prepare the interse-seniority list between the promotees and the directly recruited candidates and then confer the promotion post of Joint Registrars to the petitioner on par with the petitioner's immediate Junior.

When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing on both sides, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition.
