Original Petition praying that this Hon'ble Court be pleased that a Succession Certificate may be granted to the petitioner with power to collect

the securities and to receive the dividends on and negotiate and transfer the securities and specified in the schedule hereto. These application and Original Petition coming on this day before this court for hearing, the court made the following order: The above application has been filed seeking grant of Succession Certificate in respect of the PPF Account in State Bank of India, Kodambakkam Branch, Account No.30664986811, totalling to Rs.15,92,221/-

2. The applicant would submit that though she had obtained Succession Certificate from this Court on 10.01.2019, in Original Petition No.536 of 2018, she was totally unaware about the availability of this security. Therefore, she has come forward with this application for succession certificate in respect of the security.

3. Originally, when the matter was listed on 07.09.2020, this Court directed the applicant to file a better affidavit, as the affidavit which was originally filed was completely silent as to why this amount is not included in the earlier original petition proceedings. Thereafter, the better affidavit dated 09.09.2020 has been filed, in which the applicant would submit that it was only when representative from the State of India had visited her house

to verify as to why the PPF account of her son was not operated, she has come to know about the said security and therefore she has come forward for the said application.

4. Considering the reasons contained in the affidavit, particularly the affidavit dated 09.09.2020 and the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant, this Court in the interest of justice, deems it fit to allow the application as prayed for. The succession certificate will be granted with reference to the PPF Account No.30664986811 in State Bank of India, Kodambakkam Branch. Sd/.P.T.A.J.
