Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the advertisement dated 24.11.2018 passed by the 1st respondent and consequently direct the 1st respondent to comply the prevailing laws before initiating the process for establishment of new retail outlets as per the Apurva Chandra Committee. 2. Heard Mr.S.Muthusamy, learned Central Government Standing counsel, for the first respondent, Mr.Abrar Mohammed Abdullah, learned counsel for the third respondent and Mr.Vijayan, learned counsel for respondents 4 and 5.

3. The petitioner is challenging the advertisement dated 24.11.2018.

4. Mr.Abrar Mohammed Abdullah, learned counsel for the third respondent, submits that the notification/advertisement assailed in the present writ petition was also assailed in WP Nos.19218, 2661, 3678 and 705 of 2019 before the Madurai Bench. Under judgment and order dated 17.10.2019, the said writ petitions were dismissed. The Special Leave Petition filed against the said order was also dismissed.

5. In light of the above, and as none appears for the writ petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.4400 and 4401 of 2019 are closed.
