Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarfied Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent in G.O.(D).No.1202 Revenue Department dated 14.10.2004 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to include the name of petitioner in the panel for the post of Deputy Collector of the year 1995 and promote him in accordance with his original seniority in the post of Tahsildar with retrospective effect with full monetary benefits, arrears of pay in the revised scale and other consequential service benefits.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order passed by the first respondent in G.O.(D).No.1202 Revenue Department dated 14.10.2004 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to include the name of petitioner in the panel for the post of Deputy Collector of the year 1995 and promote him in accordance with his original seniority in the post of Tahsildar with retrospective effect with full monetary benefits, arrears of pay in the revised scale and other consequential service benefits.

2. There is no representation for the petitioner.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner was promoted vide proceedings in G.O.(2D).No.98 dated 12.03.2012. He would further submit that though he sought promotion in the year 1995, during that year the punishment was pending. Therefore, his name was not considered in the panel of promotion. Subsequently, after the completion of the disqualification, the petitioner was considered for promotion vide the aforesaid Government order.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Public Prosecutor and also the proceedings in G.O.(2D)No.98 dated 12.03.2012, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
