ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.57 of 2010 pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one B.Loganathan, he has lodged a complaint and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.57 of 2010 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 465 and 468 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 27.12.2010, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the fact that the case is pending with the respondent police from 2010, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.57 of 2010 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
