O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, in Crl.O.P.No.19904 of 2022, dated 25.08.2022, directing the respondent Police to file a final report in Crime

No.2125 of 2020, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2.Today, Mr.R.Kumar, Inspector of Police, Dusi Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District, is present before this Court. 3.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that a final report has been filed dated 25.04.2023 and the same has been taken on file by the Judicial Magistrate, Cheyyar, in C.C.No.172 of 2023 and the date of next hearing before the trial Court is 16.08.2023.

4.Though the respondent Police has filed the final report, the conduct of the respondent/contemnor in filing the final report after a lapse of one year despite orders of this Court to file it within one month, clearly exhibits the utter disregard shown by the respondent/contemnor to the orders of this Court.

5.Since final report has been filed, this Contempt Petition is closed, however, with an observation that, if such a conduct is repeated by the respondent/contemnor, severe action shall be taken. 14.07.2023 mkn Copy to :
