Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records of the 1st respondent in I.D.No.689 of 2001 and quash its award dated 28.02.2013 in so far as it directs the petitioner to pay compensation of Rs.1 Lakh to the second respondent.

O R D E R

The learned counsel for the writ petitioner made a submission that the workman passed away and the issues were settled between the Management and the legal heirs of the deceased workman. In this regard, a settlement under Section 18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act was also entered into between the Management and the legal heirs of the workman on 25.02.2017 and accordingly, the dues were paid. Thus, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.

2. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of in terms of 18(1) settlement. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
