2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that since the offence under Section 138 Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is compoundable and the matter was settled before the Trial Court, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has now become infructuous.

3. Recording the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, as the prayer sought for in the Criminal Original Petition has become infructuous, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
