This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to issue direction to the second respondent to take action and to give police protection to the petitioner on the complaint dated 15.02.2018 vide receipt issued by the first respondent on 16.02.2018 according to law. Heard Mr.R.Balasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

On a perusal of the records it is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner and her husband. Therefore, in the case of this nature, police protection cannot be granted.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed with the above observations.
