(Order of the court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) These petitions are filed to implead the petitioners as party respondents to the above writ appeal.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, the appellants herein, who do not possess TET qualification and are in-service candidates, have preferred the writ appeal bearing no.2795 of 2022 against the common order dated 20.10.2022 passed in WP.Nos.17895 and 19587 of 2022, praying for further promotion without qualifying TET even for the post of BT Assistant. Any decision on the issue involved in the appeal, will have a cascading effect on the petitioners herein as well as similarly placed persons, who are also in-service candidates and who have qualified in TET. Therefore, the petitioners are the necessary parties to the writ appeal. If they

are not permitted to be impleaded, they will be put to grave hardship and their rights will be affected by the ineligible candidates, without any opportunity to defend their case.

3.There is no serious objection on the other side, for impleading the petitioners herein, as parties to the writ appeal. 4.Therefore, these petitions are ordered as prayed for. Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the appeal papers. (R.M.D., J.) (M.S.Q., J.) 10.02.2023 nsd
