The petitioner/first accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 506(2) of IPC in Crime No.961 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the defacto complainant was lured by the petitioner herein to invest in a wholesale business and he had invested a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- but the petitioner had not returned the amount and had not given him any profit. The accused Nos. 2 and 3 had been granted anticipatory bail but they were not directly involved in the offence, There are two previous cases registered as against this petitioner, namely, FIR in Cr.No. 565 of 2023 under Sections 406, 420 and 506(ii) of IPC and another FIR in Cr.No. 266 of 2023 under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC.

3. I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this petition stands dismissed.
