Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to cancel the marriage certificate issued by him in Marriage Serial No.272/2014, dated 11.11.2014 to the petitioner and her husband under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriage Act 2009, dated 11.11.2014 with an option to permit them to register them under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

ORDER

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to move the Civil Court for annulling the Marriage Certificate dated 11.11.2014 registered under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriage Act, 2009. The learned counsel has also made an endorsement to that effect in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

memorandum of grounds in the writ petition.

2. In view of the same, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn and it is open to the petitioner to approach the Civil Court seeking for appropriate relief, in accordance with law. No costs.
