J U D G M E N T

When the matter was listed on 31.10.2023, there was no representation for the appellant. On that day, it was brought to the notice of the Court by the learned Special Public Prosecutor for CBI Cases that the learned counsel for the appellant had informed him that the appellant had passed away and thereby, this Court had directed the learned Special Public Prosecutor to verify the same with the respondent police and report.

2. Today, a Report along with death certificate dated 23.11.2023 has been produced before this Court by the learned Special Public Prosecutor for CBI Cases, wherein it is stated that the appellant - R.Manimanravanan died on 20.07.2016 at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai.

3.Mr.J.P.Ravivarman, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the appellant would submit that the appellant has passed away and he has no instructions from the legal heirs of the appellant with regard to pursuing the Appeal and prayed to close the Criminal Appeal as abated. Page No.2 of 4

4. Recording the submissions of both the learned counsel, the Criminal Appeal is closed as abated.
