ORDER
This contempt petition has been preferred seeking to punish the respondents for the alleged noncompliance of the order dated 05.07.2022 passed by this Court in W.P. No.16963 of 2022.
Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, submitted that the appeal directed to be decided by this Court, has been disposed of 02.10.2022 and even the encroachments have been removed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he would ascertain the correct status as regards the removal of encroachments.
Pertinent it is to point out that, this Court, while closing W.P.No.16963 of 2022, has directed the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal within a period of three months. To be noted, besides disposing of the appeal as directed by this Court, the respondents have also removed the encroachments, as submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader.
S. VAIDYANATHAN, J.
and N. MALA, J.
cad In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, nothing survives for adjudication and accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed.
