O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to issue Non Traceable Certificate to the petitioner for the Settlement deed dated 15.05.1983 registered as Doc.No.257 of 1983 before the Thirumarugal Sub Registrar Office, Nagapattinam.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered in C.S.R.No.54 of 2023 by the respondent Police and the petition enquiry is pending. Hence, he seeks time to dispose of the case.

3. Recording the same, this Court directs the respondent Police to dispose of the case, based on the Circular Memorandum in Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022 issued by the Director General of Police, with regard to the procedure to be followed for the issuance of Non Traceable Certificate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
