Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to give priority to the petitioners in appointment of extended scheme of Saakshar Bharat Scheme (Karkkum Bharatham). 2.When the matters were taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the relief sought for in these writ petitions has become infructuous and hence nothing survives for adjudication.

3.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, these writ petitions are dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
