By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

The 2nd respondent, in compliance of the order dated 25.09.2014 made in WP.No.26140/2014 filed by the petitioner, has passed an order in Proceedings dated 12.08.2016 in Mu.Mu.No.154/2013/Aa2, holding that the petitioner and three others are entitled to get patta in respect of their land holdings in Survey No.21/3, situate at Thiruvancheri Village, Tambaram Taluk and directed the Computer Operator to issue Computerised Chitta and Patta. Subsequently, the 2nd respondent, vide Letter in Na.Ka.No.154/2013/Aa2 dated *10.09.2016, addressed to the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records,

Kancheepuram, stating among other things, that in respect of land in Survey NO.21/3B, it has been stated that "Government Punja "O" patta", in the computer and requested him to take appropriate action and also forward the relevant records and since no further steps have been taken, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the Assistant Director, Survey and Land Records, Kancheepuram, to act on the communication of the Tahsildar in Na.Ka.Letter No.154/2013/Aa2 dated *10.09.2016 and take appropriate and necessary steps within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the 2nd respondent, who on receipt of the same, shall pass appropriate orders in the light of this proceedings dated 12.08.2016 in Mu.Mu.No.154/2013/Aa2 within a further period of four weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
