JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Under assail is the writ order dated 13.09.2022 passed in W.P.Nos.2502, 2024 & 2503 of 2016 respectively.

2. Learned counsel for the appellants would mainly contend that the writ Court has not granted the compensation, but granted only interest.

3. Paragraph No.8 of the writ order dated 13.09.2022 reads as under: 8.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to pay the compensation amount to the petitioners with applicable interest in terms of Section 30(4) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any benefit is extended to similarly situated persons, the same may be extended to these petitioners also, subject to the confirmation of the same, by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court .

The above portion of the order would clarify that the writ court directed the respondents to pay compensation amount along with the applicable interest in terms of the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. That apart, the writ court has further granted the benefit, if any, extended to similarly situated persons. That being the order of the writ court, the apprehension raised by the appellants is baseless. Thus, the Writ Appeals stand dismissed. No costs.
