PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2018 and consequently Survey the land and update the patta in Online in respect of the petitioner's property situated at Plot No.36, to an extent of 2400 sq.ft. Vested in Chengai M.G.R.District, Tiruvallur Sub-Registrar, No.93, Thozur Village, Survey No.512 and 509/2 within a period fixed by this Court.

Mr.B.Anandan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2018 and consequently, Survey the land and update the patta in Online in respect of the petitioner's property situated at Plot No.36, to an extent of 2400 sq.ft. Vested in Chengai M.G.R.District, Tiruvallur Sub-Registrar, No.93, Thozur Village at Survey Nos.512 and 509/2.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents to consider and decide the same. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.08.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 1st and 2nd respondents within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
