The petitioner/third accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420, 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.268 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. It is stated that the accused had received a sum of Rs.4,60,000/- from the defacto complainant promising Government job for the disabled son of the defacto complainant. It is stated that the first accused received the money in the presence of the accused Nos. 2 and 3 and handed over the money to the second accused. It is also stated that the accused Nos. 1 & 2 were already under custody with respect to another case and therefore, were taken custody in this Crime number under PT warrant.
3. Taking all the factors into consideration, and the nature of the allegations, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Petition stands dismissed.
