This writ petition has been filed to modify the order dated 07.06.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the applicant would submit that at paragraph No.4 of the order dated 07.06.2023, this Court directed the Registry to refund the balance amount to the respondent/The Principal Chief Engineer, Southern Engineer, Southern Railway. Hence, today, he requested this Court to modify the said portion as to refund the balance amount to the FA & CAO, Southern Railway, Chennai. Hence, he requests this Court to rectify the said error.

3. Accordingly, the paragraph No.4 of the order shall be read as follows: "4. In the light of the above, this Court directs the Registry to pay out a sum of Rs.15,48,331.67/- to and in favour of the applicant/respondent. So far as the balance amount is concerned, as has been sought for by the learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent/petitioner/Southern Railway, the balance amount along with interest, if any, shall be refunded to the "FA & CAO, Southern Railway, Chennai" within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. Accordingly, this application is allowed. With regard to the remaining portion of the order, there is no need for any modification. The Registry is directed to make necessary corrections in terms of the Order and issue a fresh order copy.
