Prayer : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herin to consider and pass orders on the revision dated 3.11.2016 submitted by the petitioner within a stipulated period.

O R D E R

The limited relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to consider the revision petition submitted by the writ petitioner on 03.11.2016 and take a decision on that.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner contended that an order of punishment was imposed against the petitioner on 16.09.2016, imposing the punishment of stoppage of increment for three years with cumulative effect vide proceedings dated 16.09.2016.

3.Challenging the said order the writ petitioner preferred the revision petition before the first respondent on 03.11.2016. But in the said revision petition, no decision has been taken in this regard by the first respondent. Thus, the writ petitioner is constrained to move this writ petition seeking for a direction.

4.Without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the revision petition filed by the writ petitioner on 03.11.2016 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petitioner is directed to send a copy of the revision petition along with the order passed in this writ petition to the first respondent. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, no order as to costs.
