This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitionerhusband seeking to direct the respondent-Police to produce the detenue-wife, by name E.Karuthammal, daughter of Elumalai, who has been illegally detained by the 4th respondent, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. When the matter was taken up today, the so-called detenue by name, E.Karuthammal, along with her father, the 4th respondent herein, was produced before the Court, by the 3rd respondent-Police. The petitioner, as well as his counsel, were also present before the Court. The so-called detenue, when personally enquired by us, has stated that she married the petitioner, on her own, and she has also expressed her willingness to go along with her husband, the petitioner herein.

3. In view of the above categorical statement made by the socalled detenue, no further orders are necessary, except permitting the detenue to go along with her husband, the petitioner herein.
