The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records in Letter No.DB/JD01/F13/2017, dated 5.1.2017 on the file of the 4th respondent, to quash the same and further to direct the respondents to construct the sub treasury building at Survey No. 125/2A (Pallipattu Town) No.3, Thalavaipattadai Revenue Village, Pallipattu Taluk as per the proceedings of the 1st respondent in Na.Ka.9860/2010/No.2, dated 17.2.2012.

The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the first respondent/District Collector initially proposed to construct Sub Treasury Building in S.No.125/2A within the limits of Pallipat Town, the fourth respondent vide proceedings dated 5.1.2017 proposed to transfer the construction to a place which is three kilometers away from the Pallipat Town, for the personal gain of one individual and to raise the market value for this land. The petitioner, therefore, seeks to quash the said proceedings and construct the Sub Treasury Building in S.No.125/2A itself.

A perusal of the impugned proceedings reveals that one M.Rajendraprasad has donated his own land for the construction of Treasury Building and the same was found conducive by the authorities concerned. Moreover, at present the Sub Treasury Office is functioning in a rented building and the respondent authorities have decided to construct the new building in the land donated by the above said individual. When the authorities have taken a considered decision after taking note of the various parameters, it is not for this Court to interfere with the same. In such view of the matter, we find no public interest involved in this writ petition.
