.. Respondent Though this matter is not listed today, this case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. The Petitioner/Accused and the Complainant are present. Mr.P.Ezhil Nilavan, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Ms.T.P.Savitha, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Challenging the order of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Krishnagiri dated 06.05.2011 passed in C.C.No.87 of 2010, the present Criminal Revision Petition has been filed by the Accused.
2. The Petitioner/Accused was awarded one year Simple Imprisonment apart from fine of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) and in default to undergo three months
Simple Imprisonment, which was confirmed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge at Krishnagiri in C.A.No.30 of 2011, dated 05.07.2012.
3. The Petitioner/Accused and the complainant are present before the Lok Adalat today and they submitted that they have entered into a compromise and accordingly, they produced the Compromise Memo dated 09.03.2019.
4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner/Accused submitted that both the Petitioner/Accused and the Complainant belong to the same Village from where he hails.
5. In view of the compromise entered into between the parties vide Compromise Memo dated 09.03.2019 and that the offence is compounded, the Petitioner/Accused is acquitted in terms of Section 320(8) Cr.P.C. The Compromise Memo dated 09.03.2019 shall form part of the record. This Criminal Revision Petition is closed.
