Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and grant transfer to the petitioner in any one of the following places, namely (1) District Forest Office, Villupuram in Villupuram Circle or 1/4

(2) District Forest Office Cuddalore in Villupuram Circle and within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and grant transfer to the petitioner in any one of the following places, namely (1) District Forest Office, Villupuram in Villupuram Circle or

(2) District Forest Office Cuddalore in Villupuram Circle and within a time frame fixed by this Court.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is now working as Forest Range Officer in the third respondent and he made several representations to the respondents seeking transfer to Villupuram Forest Division and the last of such representation was made on 23.10.2025, however, there is no 2/4

response. Hence, this Court may without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2025 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.

4.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petition is disposed of.
