ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to release the payment of Rs.39,80,767/- to the petitioner with interest in the name of retention amount for the work executed by the petitioner as per the work order in B.R.R.C.No.B1/0371/2015 dated 10.04.2015 on the file of the 2nd respondent as per the representations of the petitioner dated 11.03.2019, 25.05.2019, 08.08.2019 and 29.11.2022.
2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that in respect of the completion of work, the retention amount has not been paid from the year 2016. Hence, the petitioner had given representations dated 11.03.2019, 25.05.2019, 08.08.2019 and 29.11.2022 respectively. However, the same have not been considered by the respondents.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the Chennai Corporation, Chennai, submitted the representation of the petitioner will be considered and the retention amount will be refunded within a period of two months. 2/4

Recording the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for Chennai Corporation, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and refund the amount in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
