Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent herein to consider the petitioner representation dated 22.08.2017 in the light of G.O.Ms.540, Revenue (LD6 (2)) Department, dated 4.12.2014 and to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 6 and 7 in stream which is situated in S.No.245/2 which is running in between the boarder of Kamakapalayam village and Deviyakuruchi Village, Attur Taluk, Salem District within a stipulated frame.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Ms.V.Anandhi Devi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Government Pleader (i/c.) for respondents 1 to 5. There is no representation for respondents 6 and 7, though served.
2. The case of the petitioner is that respondents 6 and 7 have encroached upon a stream which is situated in S.No.245/2, which is running in between the border of Kamakapalayam Village and Deviyakuruchi Village, Attur Taluk, Salem District. Against the said encroachment, the petitioner preferred a representation dated 22.8.2017 in the light of G.O.Ms.540, Revenue (LD6 (2)) Department, dated 4.12.2014.
3. The learned Government Pleader (i/c.) states that the said representation will be considered by the fourth respondent and disposed of within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all concerned. The learned Government Pleader (i/c.) further states that if it is found that there is encroachment by respondents 6 and 7, they will take necessary steps to remove the said encroachment after following due process of law. In view of the above facts, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
