Prayer in WP.No.28826/2005: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the Award dated 03.05.2005 in I.D.No.255 of 1997 on the file of the I Additional Labour Court, Chennai, and quash the same.

COMMON ORDER In both these writ petitions, the Management had challenged the Award, passed in I.D.No.255 of 1997 whereby, the second respondent herein is directed to reinstate along with backwages and other benefits as well as the order passed in the Claim Petition in C.P.No.188 of 1997.

2. Pending these writ petitions, the parties have amicably settled the dispute among themselves and accordingly, the second respondent herein, had received a sum of Rs.41,200/- towards full and final settlement of the dues, under the Award passed in I.D.No.255 of 1997. The petitioner as well as the second respondent herein have filed a memo of compliance / receipt, before this Court today.

3. In view of the settlement arrived between the parties, no further orders need to be passed in the present writ petitions.

4. Recording the memo dated 16.08.2021 as well as the receipt / undertaking filed by the second respondent dated 14.08.2021, these writ petitions stand closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
