ORDER
The petitioner is a wife, who has been arrayed as respondent in H.M.O.P.No.136 of 2023 before the Family Court, Villupuram, has come forward with the present transfer application, seeking transfer of the said proceedings filed by the husband to the Family Court, Chennai.
2. Despite service of notice on the respondent, the respondent failed to appear before this Court either in person or through counsel. The respondent is called and set ex-parte.
3. I also gone through the affidavit filed in support of the transfer application. The petitioner is the wife, who is facing the divorce proceedings initiated by the respondent/husband. The petitioner is the resident of Chennai and she has expressed inconvenience to travel all the way to Villupuram to attend the proceedings initiated by the respondent/husband. It is stated that the
respondent is also working only at Chennai and both the respondent and the petitioner are working in Tamil Nadu Police Force.
4. In view of the above, the transfer civil miscellaneous petition is allowed, H.M.O.P.No.136 of 2023 is hereby withdrawn from the file of the Family Court, Villupuram and transferred to the Principal Family Court, Chennai, with a direction to take up the matter either by the Principal Family Court, Chennai or any other Family Court, Chennai, subject to the pendency of the cases in Family Courts, Chennai. No costs. Consequently, connected Civil Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
