ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground in

any available post such as Office Assistant or Driver or Night Watchman in Krishanagiri District.

2.With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father, Chandrappa died in harness on 28.04.2021, while he was working as Night Watchman at Thali Panchayat Union, Krishnagiri and thereafter, the petitioner after obtaining NOC from his brother, made an application for the post of Driver however, the same was rejected vide order dated 23.10.2024 on the ground that the petitioner has not possessed the requisite qualification of 8th standard and informed the petitioner to join as Night Watchman. Thereafter, the petitioner applied for the 8th standard examination as a private candidate and passed in August 2025 and subsequently, the petitioner made an application on 20.11.2025 for considering him to the post of Driver or Office Assistant. Since no order was passed, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the earlier occasion the very same respondent offered Night Watchman post to the petitioner by order dated 19.06.2024 and this Court may issue a direction to

the respondent to extend the same to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application dated 20.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders.

5. In view of the same, this Court directs the respondent to extend the earlier post offered to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application dated 20.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs.
