Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of the Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to give permission to conduct a festival program scheduled to be held on 07.03.2017 in Sri Pattavan, Sri Marriamman and Sri Batrakaliamman Temple by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2017. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct a festival program scheduled to be held on 07.03.2017 in Sri Pattavan, Sri Mariamman and Sri Batrakaliamman Temple by considering the representation dated 28.02.2017
2. This Court is of the view that under the name and style of cultural event, there shall not be any obscenity in the cultural programme. Keeping this in mind and also taking into account, the law and order, it is the respondent who has to take decision immediately. The respondents shall consider the said representation and pass orders immediately. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. In the event of respondent considering representation and granting any such permission, the respondent is at liberty to cancel the program at any time, even during the event, if there is any obscenity or law and order problem.
4. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
