Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 17.02.2017 with regard to issue patta in petitioner's favour in RS.No.318 now New No.319/A2 an extent of 2870 Sq.ft in Kuppandapalayam Village, Anthiyur Taluk, Erode District.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 17.02.2017 with regard to issuance of patta in his name in respect of RS.No.318, New No.319/A2, measuring an extent of 2870 Sq.ft in Kuppandapalayam Village, Anthiyur Taluk, Erode District.

2. The Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation on 17.02.2017 for issuance of patta, the respondent has not passed any orders so far.

3. Mr. Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation with in a time frame, in accordance with Law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2017, and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with Law, within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
