This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to secure Ashok Leyland Tarras Lorry bearing Regn.No.TN 30 M 3985 and to produce the same before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Trichengode, in connection with Crime No.400 of 2018 by following due process of law.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he has four lorries and is doing business. He lodged a complaint alleging that on 09.06.2018, one Nanthees working as driver under him took his Ashok Leyland Tarras Lorry bearing Regn.No.TN 30 M 3985 and went to Kerala along with four other un-known persons and thereafter, he did not return. Since there was no response even after nearly one week from the said Nanthees, the petitioner lodged the complaint on 15.06.2018 and the same was registered as Crime No.400 of 2018 for the offence under Section 379 of I.P.C. Since the lorry was not recovered, he has filed this petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the case was registered in the year 2018, the law enforcing agency has not taken any steps to secure the lorry and the 2/4

same has not yet been recovered.

4.The learned Government Advocate submitted that till date the said lorry was not recovered.

5.In view of the above, this Court directs the law enforcing agency to complete the investigation in Crime No.400 of 2018, in the manner known to law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
