PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the impugned classified seniority list issued by the 2nd respondent in Memo No.Nir. 3(1)/9270/2007 dated 08.11.10 and quash the same and direct the respondents 1 & 2 to promote the petitioners to the post of Superintendents in accordance with the original seniority list dated 01.04.04 and based on the subsequent establishment list dated 17.08.09 with all attendant benefits. For Petitioners : No appearance.

This matter came for consideration before this Court on 23.09.2024 and this Court, passed the following docket order: "Consequent upon elevation of the then learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court ordered notice to the petitioners and notice is served on all the petitioners. Inspite of the same, no appearance is entered. Hence, the Page No.2 of 4

name of the petitioners were also printed in the cause list. However, there is no representation for the petitioners.

2. Hence, post the matter 'for dismissal' on 24.09.2024.

3. Registry is directed to delete the name of Mr.A.Jenaseenan for learned counsel for the petitioners from the cause list."

Accordingly, the matter is listed under the caption 'for dismissal'. Inspite of the same, there is no representation for the petitioners and the petitioners are not showing any interest inspite of service of notice on them and failed to come forward to prosecute the matter. 3.

In the circumstances, this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for non-prosecution. Accordingly, the same is dismissed for non-prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions, if any shall stand closed. No costs. 24.09.2024 Index :
