The petitioner/A1 seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.546 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 506(2) and 307 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act 2002.

2. It is stated that the defacto complainant was a witness in a case in which the petitioner herein was an accused. It is stated that to threaten the defacto complainant, the offences were committed and later when he ran back to his house, a wooden log was set fire and thrown into the house. It is also stated that there are four previous cases against the petitioner and the petitioner has also categorized as History Sheeter with No.40 of 2022.

3. Taking all those factors into consideration, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition seeking anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
