..Respondent(s) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to immediately consider and act upon the petitioners representation dated 08.01.2026 as expeditiously by securing, preserving and furnishing a copy of the CCTV Footage of all cameras installed in the temple premises and to disclose the complete audited accounts of income, donations, contributions, and expenditure incurred and to disclose the particulars of the fit Person who was in charge of the administration and conduct for the Brahmotsavam festival conducted during the year 2025-2026 in respect of Sri Boomi Neela Sametha Sri Karivaradharaja Perumal Thirukoil, situated at Thirumalai Nayakkanpalayam, Jothipuram, Coimbatore and consequently to direct the respondents to frame and strictly follow the transparent non-discriminatory procedure in accordance with temple customs, agamas and traditions for the conduct of future temple festivals, ensuring equal participation of all sections of devotees without any caste based exclusion.

ORDER
The writ petition is filed to consider the representation dated 08.01.2026 as expeditiously as possible by securing, preserving and furnishing the copy of the CCTV footage of all cameras.
2. Upon considering the representation of the petitioner, the petitioner has made allegations that they were ill-treated during the Temple festival and the same are recorded in the CCTV footages. It is further stated that the DVR Hard disk and Memory card are in the safe custody of the authorities and therefore, for the purpose of summoning in the appropriate cases that will be filed, the petitioner is seeking to preserve the footages.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent would submit that the footages are available as on date and that they will be duly preserved. He would also submit in this Temple several petitions have already been filed and the matters are pending.
4. The learned counsel wants to intervene in this matter on behalf of the opposite parties. He would submit that the truth is suppressed before this Court and the allegations that are made in the affidavit are false.
5. I have considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the material records of the case.
6. The prayer in the representation is limited only for preserving the footages, there is no question of giving a copy of the footage to the petitioner herein. If the petitioner files any proceedings before the appropriate Court, he makes an application to summon the footage in his favour, at that point of time, the footage should be available. Therefore, to the said limited extent, it is stated that the footage is available as on date. Therefore, the footage shall be duly handed over to the respondent/Joint Commissioner and the same shall be preserved by him.
