ORDER
Writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 13.03.2016 requesting for appointment as cook helper in the Panchayat Union Elementary School, Sithathur, Vembakkam Block, Thiruvannamalai District in the place of 4 th respondent within the stipulated time fixed by this court. 2.The petitioner aggrieved by his non selection to the post of Cook Helper in the Panchayat Union Elementary School, Sithathur, Vembakkam Block, Thiruvannamalai District has filed the above writ petition. The petitioner applied for the said post and attended interview on 26.02.2016 at the Block Development Office, Vembakkam. The petitioner produced the original and two certified copies of the documents mentioned in the interview call letter. 2/6
According to the petitioner, the petitioner resided at Keezhnelli Village which is within a distance of 2 Km from the Panchayat Union Elementary School, Sithathur, where the vacancy was to be filled up. The petitioner states that the 4 th respondent who resided in a different village, at Sumangali which was at a distance of 10 km, from Sithathur, was selected in violation of G.O.(Ms).No.163, Social and Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department, dated 18.04.2010, which stipulates a distance of 3 km, from the Noon Meal Centre where the vacancy is to be filled as a criteria for selection. The petitioner therefore submitted a representation on 13.03.2016 and as petitioner's representation was not considered the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader at the time of hearing, on instructions, submitted that she was orally informed that the representation of the petitioner was already disposed of.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a copy of the order disposing the petitioner's representation was not served on the petitioner and therefore liberty may be granted to the petitioner to challenge the order, if advised.
5.The learned Special Government Pleader undertakes to furnish a copy of the order passed on the representation of the petitioner to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
6.In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, nothing survives for further adjudication in the writ petition. But in any event, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the order passed on the representation, if so, advised.
